New combine technology for fruits drying have been developed at the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad, Serbia. Fruits surface area is one of facts, which we have to find out. One mathematical solution of pear surface area is presented in this paper. Average area of pear quarters variety William without pear core is 28225 square mm. It has been shown that there exists real possibility of making significant errors using Excel program package and Statistica 7.1 package in order to find polynomial trends. Mathematica program package has shown very good characteristics dealing with those problems.
