The influence of the slant traction on traction characteristic of the tracked tractors

In the paper a mathematical model for determination of the traction force is given for the tracked tractors using the boundary conditions of adhesion. Experimental measurements have been carried out using a dynamometric vehicle with a wheeled tractor on the unploughed and ploughed land. The measurement results confirmed the given mathematical model. The increase of the traction angle besides decreasing the traction force and the traction power, increases the track slip.
