In this study we investigated postnatal development of the SM (stratum moleculare) and DG (dentate gyrus) granular layer and its zones in neonatally estrogen treated male rats. We considered that the change in the number of DG (dentate gyrus) granule cells labeled by AO (acridine orange) in treated male rats indicate their reactivity to estrogen.
