Mineral nutrient was obtained by process of exchange of ions naturally present in clay with Mn2+ ions. Local (from Serbia) ilite-kaolinite Bele Vode clay was chosen as raw material. Vegetation experiment was carried out with Phaseolus vulgaris (bean) under controlled conditions in hot house. Manganese was brought into substrate the form of: Mn-clay, MnSO4 (in two concentration of 7.5 mg and 15 mg per kg substrate). Experiment results have shown that manganese from Mn-clay more favourably effects biomass from other preparations.
