Possibility of an increase of forage production in the Province of Vojvodina [Serbia]

In spite of the relatively favourable natural conditions for the production of forages as a basic supposition for cattle production, these branch of animal husbandry is not sufficiently developed in Vojvodina. In this paper, it was supposed that development of any production as well as cattle production, is affected by numerous limitative and supporting factors. In this sense, possibilities of the intensified forage production on the existing arable land and falow and unplowed arable land are analysed. The intention was to point out how crop farming can attribute to the animal husbandry production in the case that the other limitative factors are eliminated without negatively affected the other productions.
