The influence of row spacing to the soybean lateral branch number under irrigation conditions

During 2003 and 2004, the research was conducted with the aim of establishing up to which extent the application of row spacing influenced the soybean lateral branch number under irrigation conditions. On the average, during the survey in both years, there were most lateral branches with the widest row spacings. The Vojvodjanka sort had the smallest number of lateral branches during both years. The interaction between a sort and a row spacing showed that the soybean genotypes reacted differently to the row spacing change. Based on the attained results, the application of varietal farm technology in the soybean production was recommended.
