Effect of greenhouse conditions on K and Na content in tomato fruits

The study was conducted under both greenhouse and field conditions in order to analyze the effect of greenhouse conditions on the chemical content of tomato fruits. Field conditions were used as the control variant. Trials under greenhouse conditions were conducted during winter and spring (February-June). Trials under field conditions were conducted during spring and summer (May-September). The content of K and Na was assessed in ripe tomato fruits. Greenhouse conditions effected the chemical content of tomato fruits by raising the K content and decreasing the Na content.
