Methods of assessment of the ecological stability of a territory in the projects of comprehensive land adaptation

This work presents new prospective methods for evaluation of the ecological stability of a territory, based on application of multicriterial approach. This approach offers the possibility of creating an (semi)objective model for the landscape assessment based on realistic, actual information about the territory of interest. Respecting the landscape-ecological and environmental principles, it is possible to solve the issues connected to eco-stabilizing landscape functions (by acting against identified negative changes, or taking precautionary measures if need be) and to propose the way of further landscape development with particular attention paid to objectivity enhancement as the basis of a reliable assessment of landscape stability.
