Global trends in formation of food verticals

This article presents a number of achievements in the ongoing research into the formation of food verticals in the US and in EU-15 countries in the 20th century. The research took place in RIAFE, Bratislava. The author has used partial results of his own, long-term research and a number of relevant factual and literature resources. This article has only focused on brief overview of development trends in the production segment of food business (including agriculture and food industry), and it gives reasons for historical shift of integration functions in the food verticals.
