Variability of yield and essential oil content of cultivated genotypes of Hyssopus officinalis L.
Adamovic, D.S.,Naucni institut za ratarstvo i povrtarstvo, Novi Sad (Serbia)
The field experiment with twelwe genotypes of Hyssopus officinalis L. f. cyaneus Alef. was performed. During ten years, dry herb yield, essential oil yield, and essential oil content were measured. Herb was harvested at flowering stage and dried at the room temperature. In dried material essential content was estimated after Ph. Jug. 4th, and the most frequent oil components were determined by using gas chromatography. Obtained results were processed by variance analysis while variation coefficients and heritability in broad sense were also calculated. Differences were recorded between investigated genotypes in yield and essential oil content.
