The effect of the substrate (ash) on the content of heavy metals in ash and plant material was researched. The following represented plant species were analysed: Cirsium arvense, Lotus corniculatus, Sorghum vulgare var. Sudaneuse and Festuca rubra. Ash samples were taken from the cassete 2 of TENT A, which has been passive since 1998, when its biological rehabilitation was carried out. It was determined that the content of heavy metals varied in rather wide intervals both in the total, and in available forms, both in ash and in the plant species.
