Efficiency assessment of forest property

This paper deals with problems of assessment regarding enterprise efficiency, based on the calculation of the present value of cash flow using given discount rate. It examines the present situation using the ex post financial analysis - its outputs are financial indicators of the enterprise. Moreover, it prognoses the development of given forest enterprise (ex ante) using present values (index method) and proposes real solutions for profit making given current market conditions and capacities of the forest enterprise. Input data for the efficiency assessment is as follows: balance sheet, profit and loss account, and cash flow statement. The paper offers solutions for any decision-making problem, as it is based on the verified methodology for evaluation of the company. This is fundamental for any operating, financial or investment activities.
