The number of entities of agricultural primary production and their executed legal form has been continually changed and developed especially under the changed business conditions. The contribution presents those changes on the base of business structure monitoring results of the agricultural primary production in the Slovak Republic. It informs about the structure of farms in Slovakia. It also analyses trends in the farms development on the base of selected sorting criterions (legal form, size, regional allocation of production and the like) within the census data finding of the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic and samples of the enterprises submitting the Information Newsletters of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Slovak Republic. The contribution deals also with issues of the development of labour forces and other earning activities and objectives of the farm management. It also informs about the development of property structure in the recent years.
