Experiment aimed at studying seed development of waxy corn eight rows cultivar. The experiment was conducted at Rajamangala Institute of Technology, Nan Campus during July to October, 1999 and 2000. Ears of waxy corn were collected at various time of silking stage to study the changes in seed moisture, seed dry weight, seed germination and seed vigor. The ears collected times were 1, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50 days after silking. The study found that the duration of seed development from silking stage to physiological maturity stage was 35-40 days. At physiological maturity point of waxy corn seed had 30-40 percent high moisture content. The study of seed germination and seed vigor showed that waxy corn's seed was capable of germinating before physiological maturity. Seed was able to germinate at 25 days after silking and the maximum seed germination was found at 45 days after silking whereas maximum seed vigor was at 50 days after silking.
