The objective of this research is to determine the effects of the predatory mite Biological production of raspberry fruit in plastic sun -heated tunnels is in the process of Phytoseiulus persimilis Athias-Henriot on the population of Tetranychus urticae Koch. On two remontant raspberry varieties Luilin and Heritage, which are cultivated for early biological fruit production in plastic tunnels. The results of the experiments show that the introduced predatory mite Ph. persimilis on raspberry successfully acclimatizes to the conditions in Central North Bulgaria. The species is able to reduce T. urticae populations of high density to levels which are under the economical threshold of damage for the whole vegetation period.
