Dose-dependent alternations in some clinically morphological indices in rabbits after external Gy irradiation

The problems relatd to direct and indirect influence of ionizing radiation from one hand and structural and functional alternations in particular organs and systems on the other, although weidely discussed, cannot answer unconditionally about the interacting phenomena. The purpose of our research was to determine the morphological alternations and the localization of the haemodynamic disorders in different organs and systems and to find out repeating lesions in definite organs and tissues depending on the irradiation does in the White New Zealand Rabbit. We experimented on 10 rabbits, exposed to 1.5 GY dose and 4.5 Gy dose irradiation of the whole body. We macroscopically found out petehia in the lungs in 60% of the rabbits iradiated with 1.5 Gy as well as strongly apparent passive hyperaemia in the liver accompanied by enlargement of the gall bladder in 40% of them.
