Comparative testing of promising mid-early elite peaches under the conditions of Sliven region

The fruits of the elites № 413, 415 and 416 are larger in size than thase of the control cultivar Redhaven, but thase of № 413 are similar to the control. The yield of № 413 is highest per tree and per da being followed by the control cultivar and № 416. The lowest yield vas obtained from № 415. Elite № 413 ripes about a week before the Redhaven variety, № 415 ripes at the same time of the the Redhaven, and № 416 about 5-7 days after the control one. The fruits of the three elites contain as high dry matter and sugar content and in terms of these indices they exceed the control Redhaven. Elite № 415 stands out with a high vitamin C content and very good taste qualities. Elite 415 shows sensitivity towards late spring frost. The reported index of rush atac to T.deformans in the 2005 and 2006 № 413 и № 416 show a better resistance /I = 10,3; 3,4 - 2005 and I = 12,8; 9,4 - 2006/ in comparison to Redhaven /I=21 - 2005 and I = 20,4 - 2006/. The results of long year research and comparative testing of the elites 413, 415, 416 with the control wide spread variety Redhaven gives grounds to notice, that they deserve acknowlegment in front of the Executive Agency for variety testing field Inspection and seed control for new peach varieties.
