The modern structure of replacement calves rations (age - 6-14 months) does not provide animal requirement for energy, protein, carbohydrates, mineral substances and vitamins. Such diets are deficient on sodium, phosphorus, sulphur, manganese, selenium, carotin, vitamins A, D and Е. The supplementation of replacement calves rations with timothy-and-clover green masses of 45% with 30% of DM content while reducing bean-and-grain hay from 20 to 10% provided improvement of biological value of ration in protein, carbonates, minerals and vitamins. As a result, there was increase of daily gains by 2,4-3,6%. Feeding of replacement calves during the winter period diets with mixed fodder, hay, silo, carrots and fodder beets, in comparison with diets in which structure are included hay, mixed fodder and carrots, contain considerably more nutritious and biologically active substances, in more degrees answer animals requirements in energy and nutrients, provide reception of high body weight gain
