Protein contains in silage forage as much, as in fresh plants. The fat content does not change almost. The fat, sugar and cellulose content do not change almost, however acids formed of it possess rather high power nutritiousness. It was established that feeding replacement young cattle with corn silage resulted in additional profit of 33 g of gain per head, what was 4,6% higher that controls; while feed expenses lowed by 7,9%.
