Research results of the biochemical influence of water salution of 4% exogenic taurine (2-aminoethanesulfonic acid) on Na+ and K+ ATPases activity, aminoacids and free fatty acids levels in blood plasma and brain homogenates of rats were presented. Test results proved that taurine predominantly accumulated in brain tissues after its intragastral administration (300 mg/kg). Taurin did not cause reliable changes in aminoacid concentrations in blood plasma. The tendency of increasing of taurine concentration and lowering of tryptophan on the third and seventh days was noted. Content of unetherified fatty acids lowered on the third day after preparation administration. Research results showed that taurine introduction caused the increase of histidine and taurine content levels in rat brain tissues in course of 7 days. Increasing of histidine concentration indicated the participation of taurine in regulation of neurotransmitter systems. Increasing of Mg2± and general ATPase activity of brain testified taurine modulating effect on ion transport through membranes of the seventh days after medicine administration
