[To a question on effective operation of drainage systems]

To the beginning of 1998 in territory of the Belarusian Polesye it has been drained 1,5 million hа, that has made 82% of the areas planned to development by the circuit of land reclamation of Polesye lowland. However besides capital investments in construction and reconstruction of drainage systems constant allocation of money resources on their operation is necessary. The resulted figures show, that allocation of money resources on operation of drainage systems, including work of pump stations, in 1997-2003 was characterized by stably low volumes. The analysis of expenses for operation of the reclaimed soils shows, that the small quantity of budgetary funds does not allow to contain drainage systems up to the mark and to support on them an optimum water-air regime. At the present stage for maintenance of a necessary level of operation of a drainage network use of regional specifications of investments of money resources is necessary
