Syabryna (selection number 84-47/33) is a new variety of the Belarusian selection, which resulted from the cross of the introduced varieties Lobo and Prima in 1983. The variety is reproduced on clonal rootstock 57-545, and in 1997 – on rootstock PB-4. It is winter hardy, resistant to scab and European cancer, regularly fruit-bearing. Fruits have good taste and high trade qualities. Fresh fruit is best consumed during 3 months from November till January if stored in common cold storage. The variety Syabryna is evaluated like elite in 2003, and in 2006 is delivered to the system of State variety trials in Belarus and Russian Federation. The estimation of economic efficiency reflects in money terms the basic variety parameters: productivity, early maturity and stability of fructification, quality of received production, stability to injurious factors of environment, ability to long storage. Fruits of variety Syabryna are more attractive on appearance in comparison with standard variety Vesyalina. Organoleptic estimation of fresh fruits has made 4,6 and 4,5 points, and the output of commodity fruits makes 82% against 80% accordingly. Calculations of economic efficiency was made proceeding from purchase prices of 2006. Variety Syabryna exceeds variety Vesyalina almost in 2,0 and to the net profit in 1,5 times on a level of profitability. Higher economic efficiency of cultivation of Variety Syabryna in comparison with variety Vesyalina is defined, first of all, by earlier fructification of trees and genetic protection against scab, that in turn attracts reduction of expenses for chemical processing of apple plants
