2008
Gerasimchik, V.A.
The aim of investigation is the following: the development and introduction of scientifically based effective measures on fur-producing farms in the Republic of Belarus against eimeriidoses and nematodoses in fur-producing animals on the basis of studies of their pathogens, epizootiology, pathogeny, symptoms and pathological changes, efficacy of the number of therapeutic preparations and disinfectants. In order to reach the goal the parasitological, hematological, biochemical, immunological, economical and statistic methods of investigation have been used. For the first time on fur producing farms of the Republic of Belarus the species varieties of eimeridoses pathogens has been studied for ferrets, arctic foxes and silver-black foxes. Their morphological and biological signs have been detailed. Peculiarities of epizootiology of eimeriidae and nematodae infestation have been cleared up for fur producing farms with different animal population as well as for eimeriidae invasion in mink on the background of Aleutian mink disease (viral plasmocytosis). The Eimeriidae specificity of mink and ferrets has been stated for laboratory and carnivorous animals. For the first time, the periods of endogenous development and pathogenic influence of Isospora laidlawi on mink body as well as the influence of I.vulpina on the organism of foxes have been investigated. Clinical signs and pathological changes have been found for mink infestated with different doses of Isospora laidlawi and foxes infestated with I.vulpina. Intravital express diagnostics of intestinal parasitoses has been developed. There were found and approbated 16 effective therapeutic and 2 disinvasive means against eimeriidosis and nematodosis in fur-producing animals. A scientifically based complex of measures against intestinal parasitosis in fur-producing animals and guard dogs on fur-producing farms in the Republic of Belarus has been developed
