[A new variety of winter triticosecale Zhytsen']

A new variety of winter triticosecale Zhytsen’ is included to the National List of Varieties and Brushwood strains of the Republic of Belarus in 2007 and zoned in the Vitebsk and Mogilev districts of Belarus. It is created by the method of individual-family selection from the variety of winter triticosecale Dubrava. At variety creation great attention was brought to creation variety with high winter hardiness (on the level of 4,5-5,0 points), productivity, resistance to falling and fungal diseases, capability to form grain with high physical and technological qualities. On the results of the state strain testing the content of crude protein has made 10,5-13,9%. In the competitive testing in 2001-2003the variety has provided grain yield on the level of 89,2 c/ha, it is on 2,9 c/ha above the standard variety Mikhas’
