Results of research conducted in conditions of sod-podzolic light loam soil characterized by increased content of humus, phosphorus and potassium have shown the high efficiency of application of mineral fertilizers in doze N90P60K120 jointly with not root top dressing by copper at cultivation of spring barley of variety Ataman on the brewing purposes. Productivity of grain has made 57,7 c/ha, that on 26,0 c/ha (82,0 %) is above the control. Thus nitric fertilizers were brought in two steps: N60 – as the basic application and N30 - in top dressing. On the average for three years of research the increase in productivity from nitrogen application into top dressing has made 4,8 c/ha, copper - 2,9 c/ha, copper application promoted the growth of productivity on 1,3-2,9 c/ha. The content of fiber in grain was within the limits of 11,2-11,8%, extractive substances - 77,5-80,6% at nitrogen application in dosage N60+30 on the background P40K90. It corresponds to demands presented to barley grain on brewing aim. On raised background of phosphorous and potash nutrition this indicator did not exceed 11,3%
