[Estimation of enzymatic activity of luvisol loam sandy soil as affected by fertilization]

Research problems included definition of optimum term of selection of soil samples for biochemical research. It is known, that biological indicators differ the big dynamism and considerably vary during the vegetative period depending on different factors. One of the most significant factors are soil humidity, the doses of mineral fertilizers, cultivated agricultural crops. Experimental data have shown that soil enzymatic activity (urease, invertase,polyphenoloxidase and peroxidase) represent a quantitative characteristic of biochemical microorganisms activity. Close correlations between soil enzyme activities and organic carbon content were established. The following diminishing order was found: peroxidase (P≤0,05, r2=0,92), invertase (P≥0,05, r2=0,89), urease (P≥0,05, r2=0,85) and polyphenoloxidase (P≥0,05, r2=0,72). Soil dehydrogenase activity was proposed as an objective parameter for characterization of microflora abundance and activity. As an express method of definition of level of soil genecity it is offered to use activity of microbial dehydrogenase, as processes of dehydrogenation of organic substratum are carried out at participation of dehydrogenase of alive cells of soil microflora. At use of enzymatic indicators for an estimation of biological condition of soil under the influence of fertilizer systems the objective information is given by unitary selection of soil samples in spring before fertilizers application
