[Prospects of application of information technologies in swine breeding]

Information technologies - the important resource of low-wasteful, steady foodstuff production and raw materials for industry, improvement of quality and safety of foodstuff, reduction of technogenic loading by environment, decrease in losses in the course of production of agricultural products. Agriculture - the ideal environment for application of information technologies, but insufficiency of financial assets in sphere of agrarian science of developing countries yet does not give possibility for wide application of modern information technology. Introduction of information technologies in swine breeding allows to order process of animal feeding and by that to raise efficiency of use of forages at animal industries production. The automated control system of technological processes of preparation and distribution of liquid forages is developed and introduced on a number of pig-breeding complexes of Belarus. Control system basis is the microprocessor controller of common industrial application. As control means the computerized controllers and modules of Austrian firm B&R are used. Application of microprocessor technical equipment in control systems of animal feeding on pig-breeding complexes allows to increase volume of the processed information considerably. In typical relay-contact system for the control of delivery of a dose 2 bits of the information from gauges of the top and bottom level of dispenser are used only, but in microprocessor system 144 bytes are used. The volume of the entrance of operating information makes 52 bits, i.e. 36 entrance discrete signals from gauges of final position and two analogue signals from a flowmeter of forage and the distributing cart
