Cabbage pod midge Dasyneura brassicae Winn, is practically not studied dangerous pest of winter and spring rape. Larva is a harmful stage of this pest. It feeds inside pod causing drying and cracking. All seeds from the pod fall into the soil before carrying out crop main harvest. The only possible method of rape protection against this pest is crops treatment by insecticides. However, it is not practically possible to determine the pest in rape crops as it is very small. The objective of our research was to study a new under conditions of the Republic of Belarus method of record of cabbage pod midge population dynamics number - with the help of glue color traps. The records were done on winter rape starting from mass blossoming stage and up to green pod formation. Four different by color traps - yellow, orange, blue and green were tested for catch ability. The best for cabbage pod midge record turned out to be orange color traps, also the result was not bad with the use of yellow color traps
