[Medical and preventive efficiency of Zooverad® sorbent against microelementoses and noncontagious diseases of young stock animals]

Investigation of the efficiency of enterosorbent Zooverad® in prophylaxis of microelementoses and noncontagious diseases of piglets and for the treatment of dyspeptic disorder of calves in the conditions of animal husbandry farms of the Republic of Belarus was realized. Enterosorbent Zooverad® (derivative of the natural vermiculite mineral) proved its sorption against Aspergillus, Penecillinum and Fusarium fungi and their mycotoxins and also provided the ion exchange and corrected the mineral exchange. Research results showed that application of enterosorbent Zooverad® in course of one month in dose 0,2% of feeding ration lowered piglet disease incidence on 4,0%. The number of gastrointestinal diseases in the experimental group lowered on 2,5%. It was proved that addition of Zooverad® in piglet diets made it possible to prevent the diseases caused by the toxic elements of feeds, it also increased the indices of natural resistance and antioxidative protection. Zooverad® also proved its high efficiency for calf dyspeptic disorder treatment and made it possible to shorten the disease therapy (therapy duration in the experimental group was 4,3+/-1,22 days, in the control group – 5,0+/-1,18 days). The average daily weight gain of calves of the experimental group was 0,235 +/-0,018, in the control group – 0,138+/-0,020. It prevented the development of intoxication and promoted the immunity recuperation of animals having dyspeptic disorders
