[Response of soybean genotypes to pod borer (Etiella spp.) and pod suckers (Nezara viridula L. and Riptortus linearis F.) for two planting seasons]

The experiment was carried out in dry land condition in Rambatan Experimental Station (525 m a.s.l.), on wet season 1991 (November 1991 to February 1992) and dry season (March 1992 to June 1992). Fifty four soybean genotypes were screened for major insect pest (pod borer and pod suckers). The objective activity was to study degree of soybean genotypes resistance to pod borer and pod suckers. A randomized complete block design with two replications was used on each trial. The result showed that pod borer, except one genotype (Lompo Batang) which were resistant on wet season 1991 and four genotypes (MSC 8404-1-10, MSC 8303-3-3, Lompo Batang, and Kerinci) on dry season 1992. There was no any genotype that resistant to pod suckers on wet season 1991 but there were two genotypes (MSC 8404-1-10 and MSC 8303-3-3) that resistant on dry season 1992.
