The experiment was conducted to study the effects of defoliation time of maize and spacing of peanut on yield component and yield of maize in intercropping system during dry and wet season in Cikampek, West Java. In these experiments, two factors were assigned, the first was defoliation time of maize with three levels (7, 14, and 21 days after tasseling) and the second was spacing of peanut with four levels (40 cm x 5 cm, 40 cm x 10 cm, 40 cm x 15 cm, and 40 cm x 30 cm). Maize was sown at spacing of 160 cm x 30 cm. Defoliation was carried out on all leaves below the cob. This experiment was laid out in a randomized complete block design and all treatments were replicated three times. The results showed that the best yield components and yield of corn in intercropping system with peanut was obtained 21 days after tasseling at planting time in wet season.
