Field observation was conducted to identify the species and study the population density of parasitoid emerging from the masses of S. innotata eggs laid by the pest on paddy rice of various growth stages. Randomized block design with 3 replicates was employed to arrange the experiment. The data suggested three species of parasitoids i.e. Telenomus, Trichogramma, and Tetrastichus that emerged from S. innotata eggs. High variance in the population density was observed between the three species of parasitoid. The average number of Telenomus, Trichogramma, and Tetrastichus insect emerging from the eggs were 28.68, 9.23 and 3.37 respectively. A big differences was noted on the number of S. innotata emerging from parasitised (17.7) and unparasitised eggs (92.1).
