The purpose of this study was to examine andrdquoThe assessment of educational and extensional needs of rural women in west - Azarbaijan province «. The sample for this study was 259 rural women that have been selected from 86 villages by multiple - stage random sampling. The research method was correlational research and data was collected by questionnaire. A statistical method that was used in this research was Kendal - Tau, Mann- Whitney, kruskal - wallis tests and multiple regression. Results of this study show that there were positive relationship between farm size and number of livestock and educational - extensional needs of women. The results also indicated that there were differences between involvement in agricultural activities, in participation production decisionmaking process, ethnic group and educational extensional needs of rural women. Also, the results of multiple - regression indicated that there were significant effect between main job of household head, literacy rate, participation in production decision - making and contact rate with extension agents and educational extensional needs of rural women.
