The Cotton Research Institute of Iran is located at Gorgan,Golestan provience, north of Iran. This region is adjacent to one of the largest cotton production area in Iran. An expriment was conducted during the 2003and2004 growing season using Surface Drip Irrigation. The soil is a silty clay loam and cotton was planted at 80*20Cm. Furrow diks were installed after crop establishment. Preplant fertilizer containing NPK, was incorporated based on soil fertility analysis. Additional N was injected into the Irrigation water from first flower to early bloom for the full Irrigation treatments and dificit Irrigation treatments receiving proportionately less. Treflan was apllied at one time befor planting at 2.5 L/ha level to control broadleaf weeds. The exprimental design consisted of two kinds of latral instalation(T1= latral at all rows, T2= latral at alternat rows) and four Irrigation levels I100, I70, I40 and I0 based on class-A pan evaporation. There are no significant differences between Irrigation treatments and first picking, number of Monopodia and Sympodia branch while there are significant differences for second picking and total yield. The total yield of I70T1 treatment was maximoum.
