To determine saxaul wood properties in the various sites of Iran,samples were collected from a few areas of five sites Yazd.Kerman,Sabzevar and Sistan-Balouchestan- each -Kashan, year.Chemical analysis were performed to achieve somehow new applications for this wood which seemed to some extent useless.water soluble and alcohol-benzene soluble extractives,cellulose and lignin content,as well as holocellulose and ash content were determined.Some physical properties of wood such as specific gravity and periodicioty of growth as well as some anatomical characteristics were determined based on many test samples.
