Morphology and neurochemical expression of neurons immunoreactivity for calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP-IR) in the lamb ileum

English. The CGRP was localized immunohistochemically in neurons and fibres in lamb ileum wholemount preparations and cryostat sections. The neurochemical coding of CGRP-IR neurons in both the plexuses was also investigated. In wholemounts the immunoreactivity was observed only in well-defined Dogiel type II neurons. In the myenteric plexus and submucosal plexus neurons, the CGRP-IR was co-localised only with TK-IR; no CGRP-IR neurons exhibited VIP-, NOS- and TH-IR. In cryostat sections a dense network of CGRP-IR fibres was mainly observed in the lamina propria beneath the epithelium basal membrane and around the lacteals, in the lateral walls of the follicular sinuses, around the lymphatic follicles (Peyer's platches) and along enteric vessels. Show more [+] Less [-]Italian. [Il CGRP è stato localizzato per via immunoistochimica in neuroni e fibre in preparazioni wholemount e in sezioni al criostato dell'ileo di agnello. E' stata pure studiata l'espressione neurochimica dei neuroni CGRP-IR in ambedue i plessi. Nei campioni wholemount l'immunoreattività è stata osservata solo nei neuroni Dogiel tipo II ben definiti. Nei neuroni del plesso mienterico e del plesso sottomucoso, la CGRP-IR era colocalizzata solo con la TK-IR; nessun neurone CGRP-IR ha manifestato VIP-, NOS e TH-IR. Nelle sezioni al criostato è stato osservato un denso reticolo di fibre CGRP-IR principalmente nella lamina propria sotto la membrana dell'epitelio basale e intorno ai latteali, nelle pareti laterali dei seni follicolari, intorno ai follicoli linfatici (placche di Peyer) e lungo i vasi enterici.
