Citrus red mite (Panonychus ulmi (McGregor) is an important mite pests on Citrus spp in Caspian costal region of Iran. The objective of this study was to determine the effectiveness of different doses of Spirodiclofen SC 240 in comparison of registered acaricides on citrus red mite in eastern part of Mazandaran province during period of 2003-2004. The Block Complete Randomized Design was used to assign 4 replications of fvie treatments (envidor SC 240 at doses, 0.2, 0.3 and 0.4 mililiter in 1000 cc water, ) including an untreated check plots. Treatments initiated when mean of three or more active CSRM recorded on upper leave of orange Tamson varity. Fifty treated leaves randomly collected from different replications and number of alive CSRM counted under sterio microscope at interval of one day before and 3, 7, 14 and 25 days after acaricides application. Mortality % evaluated through San-Shepart method for three types of mite population i.e. egg, immature and mature stages. Place of orchard trial were choosen as Khezerabad and Ferhabab of Sari regions which were located in eastern part of Mazandaran province. Analysis of variance done on mean of mortality% recorded and all data of treatments compared according DMRT. Minimum eggs mortality% (9.15%) observed three days after application for dose o.4 of envidor in Khezerabad, but gradual ovicidal effects were found increased upto last interval of sampling (25 days) in all treatments. Similar ovicidal effects were also recorded on active of P.citri (immature and mature) stages. Analysis done on mean morltality% of all treatments at interval sampling period and results found significant at level of one percent and placed them in groug of A ranking according Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT). Max. differences on mean of mortaltiy% recorded for ovicidal effects of envidor with Min. and Max. 46.97%, 90.12% in 3 and 25 days after application and which placed them in groups of C and A respectively. Higher acaricidal mortality recorded in orange orchards at Farahabad in comparison to Khezerabad locality in Sari region. Results obtained from envidor doses on CSRM stages indicated that, all envidor doses were able to control mite population with gradual increase effects but random and one time application of doses 0.3 or 0.4 in a season recommended to control P. citri in caspian costal region of Iran.
