Determing of the Effects of Some Plant Growth Regulators on Shoot prolifiration of shoot tips of Aloe (Aloe vera L.)

Aloe (Aloe vera L.) because of the special medicinal benefits of its extract which is obtained from the leaves, is known as a medicinal plant . Its extract is widly used pharmaceutical industries and cosmetics . In addition of the special place of the Aloe among medicinal plants,also it is taken into acount as an ornamental plant. In southern zone of Iran which has climatic condition similar to natural habitate of this plant , it could be cultivated besides of other tropical ornamental plants in landscaping areas of cities . In addition, this plant can be used as an indoor plant in the other part of the country . Generally , Aloe propagates vegetatively but, the propagation rate is too low.Therefore, the research was done in order to increase the rate of vegatative propagation through In vitro culture of shoot tips in tissue culture labratory of Ramin Agricultural and Educational Centre of Ahvaz Shahid Chamran university in 2002 . In this research that was done in completely randomized design . Shoot tips were trimed aseptically and cultured in MS medium containing 3% sucrose and 0.8% agar and supplemented with different concentrations and combinations of BAP, Kinetine , NAA and 2,4 –D . The results were shown that leafy shoots differentiated in almost all treatmentes . The optimal medium for maximum shoot formation was MS medium containing 1 mgl-1 BAP , 1 mgl-1 Kinetine and 0.15 mgl-1 NAA
