Delphinium semibarbatum syn. D.zalil is an industerial and ornamental species native to Iran . It is distributed from altitude 750 to 1050 metr in North –East of Iran (Khorasan). It is a valuable substorey plant in pistachio woodland of Khorasan .It is considered as on ornamental plant because of this pretty yellow flower it seems that the only natural retained reservoir of this species in Khorasan , because this region is protected . It is not observed in other regions. Distribution area of this species is a parent of Ghara-Gum watershed basin in border with Torkamanestan . Climate in this area according domarten is cold- simi arid and annual precipitation is 300-250 mm and soil made up of loss particles fixed on lime stone . Density of Delphinium Zalil is considerable under pistachio trees where it is more moist . Delphinium Zalil is harvested in order to prepar . Delphinium Zalil is propagated by seed and its flowering period is long lasting . This species have some good characteristics such as drought tolerant , and genetic diversity, so as suitable to planting and make hybridization.
