English. This note reports on the results of a research aimed at identifying the most appropriate cutting for Oreopanax capitatus propagation. This preliminary survey has pointed out the versatility of this species for propagation; actually optimal rooting percentages have been obtained by treating with hormones the tip and median cuttings with and without leaves; leaf cuttings, instead, proved to be more critical for propagation both for the low rooting percentage and the long time required (about two months)

Da questa prima indagine è emersa la versatilità di questa specie per quanto riguarda la sua propagazione; infatti, si sono ottenute ottime percentuali di radicazione, previo trattamento con ormoni, per talee di punta, mediane con e senza foglie, mentre quelle di foglia sono risultale più difficili da propagare, sia per la bassa percentuale di radicazione, sia per i tempi lunghi della stessa, circa due mesi
