In tomato cultivation of the high temperature phase, effects of the forced ventilation method which combined the ventilator and outside air introduction fan on reduction of temperature in the greenhouse and growth and yield and contents of lycopene of red-colored tomato variety 'Kc02-115' and pink-colored tomato variety 'house momotaro' was investigated, and a following knowledge was obtained. 1. In greenhouse with the forced ventilation method which combined the ventilator and outside air introduction fan, outside air was positively introduced to the greenhouse, and the temperature rising in the greenhouse was remarkably suppressed. In the forced ventilation greenhouse, the upper stem diameter of the tomato was thicker than the control house, and photosynthetic rate and transpiration rate were also high. 2. In the forced ventilation greenhouse, the fructification number does not change, one fruit weight of marketable fruits becomes heavy, and total yield increased by comparing control greenhouse. But the incidence of cracked fruits was high, marketable yield became equivalent, and lycopene content was increased both red-colored and pink-colored tomato varieties.
