We improved the female of P11 to produce of high quality chicken . Especially, we place importance on the weight on the 120th day after the hatch. The weight increased a fowl in 1996 by about 220g. Also, they improved egg weight on the 270th day, too, by 0.6g after the hatch. P11 x HD line has been developed the purpose to remove an evil by the propinquity crossing between the P11 line and introduced HD, and the system is being composed at present. As a result, as for the fowl in 1995, each character appeared good with the effect of heterosis. As for the fowl in 1966, after the hatch, weight on the 120th day and laying percentage were improved but the weight of the egg was rather light.
