Some developmental stages of spiny lobsters collected from the northern Arabian sea

The present study is based on zooplankton samples collected during (a) Cruise 1 of the NASEER (Northern Arabian Sea Ecological and Environmental Research) programme during 1992, (b) ONR (Office of the Naval Research US) project during 1993-1995, and (c) older samples of plankton housed in the Marine Reference Collection and Resource Centre, University of Karachi. The plankton was screened for the larval and postlarval stages of Pakistani lobsters, all found belonging to the genus Palinurus. The stages are described and illustrated.
