Efficacy of mycofix plus (Toxin binder) against contaminated broiler feed with mycotoxin

Two hundred day old broiler were kept in the four experimental groups A, B, C and D (50 each) for 42 days to study the efficacy of Mycofix plus (0, 250, 500 and 1000 gms per tone) against contaminated with Mycotoxin, respectively. Live body weight, feed intake, mortality was recorded and finally five broilers from each group were randomly slaughtered to weight the carcass and internal organs (liver, gizzard and heart). Results revealed that average weight gains were 1402.8, 1513.0, 1704.5 and 1864.0 gms per broiler, for A, B, C and D groups, respectively (P=*). The total feed consumption of broilers were averaged 3412.8, 3448.9, 3755.7 and 3818.6 gms, for A, B, C and D groups, respectively. While C and D groups were significantly differently different than A and B (P=*). The feed conversion ratio were 2.40, 2.27, 2.20 and 2.04, for A, B, C and D groups, respectively (P=* and LSD=0.147) and dressed carcass weight of broiler in various treatment s were 930, 935, 1030 and 1150 gms per broiler (P=* and LSD=75.0) for A, B, C and D groups, respectively. However non-significant difference was observed in the weight of liver, gizzard and heart in all groups of broiler. It is concluded that the broiler of group D was best feed converter into weight gain without any side effects as compared to other groups of broiler, due to higher quantity of Mycofix plus mixed in feed. It was concluded from the study that broilers can be reared on ration having crude protein 22.07 percent and M.E. 2814.6 K/Cal/kg in starter and crude protein 20 percent and M.E. K/Cal/kg 3010 in finisher rations along with supplementation of 1000g/ton of Mycofix plus to get the better profit clue to lower cost of broiler production.
