Effectiveness of exploitation of wood slash bundling machine Timberjack 1410D

The results of investigation of efficiency of exploitation of slash bundler Timberjak 1410D that operates in Olsztyn district of Poland are presented in the paper. The pine logging residues are bundled, on the low-lying, hilly terrain. In many places the ground was sandy, with very low bearing capacity, and because of this scheme of slash bundler movement has to be altered. During the working shift machine produced 78 bundles of volume 0.8 cubic m each. The reached operational productivity 12.8 cubic m/h (16 bundles of wood residues per hour) is satisfactory, and is close to productivity declared by manufacturer that is: 20-30 bundles per hour.
