Effect of a diet for sows enriched in rape and flax seeds on the composition of fatty acids and genes expression in tissues as well as development of small intestine in newborn piglets

It was found that the diet for sows containing linen and rape seeds increases ALA content in milk with concomitant decrease of AA content. Concentration of these acids in milk and LA was decreasing during the lactation time. Dietary treatment of sow affected only ALA content in tissues of newborns. In older piglets receiving mother milk we observed that diet containing ALA rises the content of that acid in the tissues. Diet for piglets affected gene expressiom in small intestine, quadiceps fe. and heart and also the development of the whole digestive tract. Milk replacer caused higher changes in gene expression than milk containing ALA. Expression of genes involved in intracelular transport as well as histomorphological evaluation of mucose membrane of small intestine indicate at digestive tract of piglets reciving mother milk is more advanced morphologicaly than in piglets receiving milk repacer, alone
