[Using the flow cytometry method in evaluation of gp51 expression in lymphocytes infected animals of enzootic bovine leukaemia virus (BLV)]

The flow cytometry method used in the study enabled to detect gp51 expression in sheep blood lymphocytes at the early stages of the infection, before it was possible to detect the antibodies in serum using the ELISA. The study enabled to understand the dynamics of BLV infection in sheep and modulation of immunological system by the virus. It was also possible to evaluate the type of lymphocytes related to lymphocytoses and neoplasmatic lesions in the internal organs
