The aim of present study is to widen our present-knowledge on ecological farming influence on weeds infestation and in the background of other farming systems. The weed infestation of cereal crops cultivated in organic, conventional and intensive farms, characterized by similar soil and climatic conditions was compared in 2005-06. The studies revealed the highest weed infestation in the fields in the organic system and the lowest in the intensive system. Weed infestation of cereal crops in the conventional system was medium and similar to the organic system. Weed communities in the intensive system were characterized by a smaller diversity of species
