Evaluation of the effect of different doses of nitrogen fertilization applied in differentiated weather conditions on the yield and quality of spring malting barley cultivars was aim of the research. It was found that the grain yield and protein content and the values of other malting quality parameters were differentiated in particular years and depended on moisture level during vegetation period. The biggest grain yield and the smallest grain protein content was stated in the year with a significant surplus of rainfall as referred to water quantity transpired by plants. Moisture deficit decreased the grain yield and increased grain protein content
