The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between changeability of the dates of agrophenophases and the duration of interphases and the yields of triticale grains and to define a potential decrease in the yield due to changeability of the triticale growing process in Northern Poland. The study was based on the results of agrophenological observations and on the values of triticale grain yields at ten COBORU experimental stations and on meteorological ten day period data of 1984-2004. The strongest influence on the spring triticale yield in Northern Poland had the dates of: sowing, emergence and tillering. A 10 day delay of the dates of sowing, emergence and tillering resulted in a potential decrease in the yield in Northern Poland by 6, 8 and 11.5 percent, respectively. Favourable for high yields of spring triticale was the earliest beginning of tillering and possibly late (within the range of dates in the years of the studies) harvest. Good yields resulted also from the lengthening of the period from sowing to harvest and the lengthening of the interphases of shooting - heading and, in a determined interval of values, wax maturity - harvest
